Summer’s End…in the breeze

Cosmo Blowing By.....

Horny Hollyhock
Both of these shots were taken on the fly, so to speak. The wind was blowing. The flowers were all a flutter in the strong breeze. I snapped away with the Canon 100mm Macro lens. A few turned out despite the breeze.

Pontoon Boat Valve
A few years ago I was at a sportsmen’s expo in Portland, Or and a man was tucked away at one of those back corners reserved for emerging entrepreneurs. There was a man selling K-Pumps. I do believe it was the first time I had seen the name or the product. I bought one and have never regretted the purchase. It is small (there are several sizes now) and does a great job inflating pontoon boats and rafts. The two handed barrel pumps are good too. But, I have come to rely on the K-Pump most of the time. The prices are still reasonable and it is a simple but powerful tool.

Swine Flu (Beat the odds…fish)
As we head into another flu season and the inevitable paranoia and relentless media overload…it is apparent that to avoid the coverage and the germ laden door handles and airborne gunk…we should be outside in the cold waving the two hander or single hander and chasing our favorite species through this physical and mental ordeal. Bundle up. Risk a cold. Stay physically active and stay away from the infirm if you can. Course, those of us that have to enter confined spaces and the unwashed….take precautions and escape as you can.

FOR WHEN YOU DECIDE TO STUDY WHAT THIS STUFF IS ABOUT

No Swine Flu Here!
