Waterproof Cameras (Didn’t Get One for Christmas?)

I was at Best Buy the other night and noticed the Kodak Play Sport water proof video camera. A small little device the size of a crackberry. In researching the Kodak camera, I noticed these additional waterproof cameras at the Surfing Camera site. I have been amazed at the quality of work my little Pentax Optio 60 has provided the last few years. The newer cameras probably deliver even better quality now since I posted about them last year. Really a must have accessory to your outdoor pursuits. Prices are down and quality is up.

Fly Tying: Kelly Galloup’s Zoo Cougar

Recently I walked along the shallows of a river and noticed Sculpins scurrying to safety. They were at most 3″. I had not recently considered Sculpins as an offering. Just why do I forget about streamers for Rainbow trout, when it is a primary inciter for Steelhead? For rainbow trout, I seem to have a blind spot. This is a good pattern…the Zoo Cougar, to use. This may be a darn good pattern to swing along the bottom and back this Fall/Winter…and for Browns (as a chub) on my favorite lakes.

Dear Lord there is something as bizarre as Frogs in your greens: it is the craziness and adoration of Fred & Shane Dawson. These animated little guys foster pure adoration or hatred. I just find it all miraculous that the power of this medium has never transferred one infinitesimal bit to my efforts. So, I lack the theatrical, the absurd (pretty much), the imagination (Fred The Movie) and boyish charm. So, I will sit in obscurity like the frog in the greens. Hopefully getting more air.
