what a magnificent beauty. many things are appealing in nature: mountain formations, contrasted light and shadows, snow, trees, wild flowers, wild animal’s eyes, rocks to name but a few. But, look at the spotting on this rainbow trout. Yes, other sport fish have their fine visual points, but this fish is a ’10’. Look at Tobin’s great work.

Saw both these patterns today at a tying symposium. The pattern is meant to be a chironomid/midge/buzzer pattern. Also, you can see the one with the deer hair wing is similar to the Quigley Cripple, minus the hackle. I think the pattern with the CDC wing would be a great pupa/emerger pattern. Don’t grease the CDC.
