Montauk Sea Creature (Movie Scam Alert; Object of Art? Another one?? A Norse Funeral? 6/5/09)

Montauk Sea Creature

Montauk STube ea Creature

Bozo’s Abound: Norse Funeral for Racoon a supposed explanation for first Montauk creature…not sure about the second Monty. Phewy BS! Anon. BS….

Update 11/7/2008:  This story appears to get continued hits, so in a query to see if anything new out there to prompt your enquiries, I came upon this site…a site for those interested in the New England phenomenon of unexplained and explained critters

Update 8/18/08: Possible scam alert!

I have not posted much about this fascinating ‘it’.  Not sure. I include this because I admired how defiant the sea creature was in the end. photoshopped or real? Not sure.

Probably some animal research facility disposed of this. I no sooner made light of that scenario than goof ball Sara of Beastie Weenie popped up with the popcorn fart thought  of the day.

You Just Don't Need To Make This Mierda Up

You Just Don’t Need To Make This Mierda Up

“I really hope its a dinosaur, but more then likely its some kind of muntant.
What I do know is there IS an animal testing site nearby, Plum Island, where they research animal/agricultural diseases. However its been rumoured to also be a facility for germ warfare.
Have you ever heard of the Montauk Project? The hidden bunkers where they supposedly did phycological warfare research. Something to think about… “

(Sara knows this is related to animal research facility nearby)

News Alert!!!!! (8/6/2008, 0700 PDST):

Montauk Sea Creature sans fig leaf~sorry

Montauk Sea Creature sans fig leaf~sorry

Update 3/22/09: “Alexis Rockman, a contemporary New York artist whose grand, mural-like paintings often focus on the natural world, has a new show at Nye Haus, open through April 18. The show includes a ten-foot painting in which the Montauk monster — that hairless, gnarled, toothy creature that washed up on a Montauk beach last summer — lies surrounded by detritus like Pepsi bottles and pieces of plastic.”

The legend of Monty continues…”     Where is Plum Island and What do they do there?
Plum Island Animal Research Center

Plum Island Animal Research Center

Ah, even the evil Bush Admininstration has a hand in Plum Island. Of course, so has every other president for several decades. Maybe Sara Martin at Beastie Weenie was onto something.
(5/16/09) Need more info about Plum Island. Odd no push from msm to overcome the ‘no comment’s….
Representatives from Plum Island could not be reached for comment. But last year, Plum Island Director Larry Barrett denied any link between the first Montauk Monster and the Homeland Security-run facility: “I can state categorically that it is not associated with the work performed at Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC). PIADC serves as the Nation’s first line of defense against foreign animal diseases of livestock by identifying such diseases through diagnostic testing and by developing vaccines to protect livestock from those diseases.“
So, is Nicky Papers actually sitting on (yuck!) the newest find (nope, guess couple are sitting on this mess)? If true, (remember the Georgia Bigfoot Fiasco), then the photos/video will we interesting….wonder how they loaded and iced that  stinking mass of rot? Much like they do that with a human…been there-done that.
Plum Island Animal Disease Center

Plum Island Animal Disease Center

“We’re proud of our role as America’s first line of defense against foreign animal diseases.

We’re equally proud of our safety record. Not once in our nearly 50 years of operation has an animal pathogen escaped from the island.”

“In 2003 the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) joined us on the island, taking responsibility for the safety and security of the facility.”  (That crititcal huh?)

The Panama Creature (if real) appears less given to normal identification or linking to a typical land based animal (Montauk=Racoon; not that I lind Monty to a Racoon). “Zoologists in Panama said they’re not sure what the creature is, but said it resembles a dead fetus.”

“As soon as video of the monstrous creature was released, speculations began swirling. People said it was everything from an alien to a monster and an albino hairless sloth. There has been no word on whether investigators will perform a DNA test on the creature to determine what exactly it is.”

Video in Espanol gives some idea of size and shape of Panama Creature.

I doubt its a dog, because the top part of its mouth looks like a beak. Its front feet look a little wrecked but they seem to have one large finger extending, and don’t you think the back feet look a little odd. If this is a scam, it seems to be done really well, it looks almost like a puppet, what you may find in walking with Dinosaurs/Monsters/Beasts that series. And to attract a fly to a body doesn’t take long, get something smelly, or warm and flies come over really fast. This could be some new genetic mutation gone wrong?

Woah that some freaky stuff but I’m strangely fasinated with it at first I thought it was a dog or a pig I want to see one of those up close and personal this is so cool thanks for the pix

The first thing i thought of was that it looks a little like A turtle without a shell…

  11. August 12, 2009 at 19:19

It looks like a wingless gryphon. No, I’m not saying that’s what this is.
I think it’s a hoax. The person that runs the “official website” is making a fortune off this and becoming famous. He mentions his own name on the website several times so he obviously wants fame. He also mentions having all these high quality photos available yet we keep seeing the same ones over and over.
Everyone who talks about it being a hoax keeps mentioning Photoshop as the source of the creation. Do we rely so much on computers that we’ve forgotten things can be created in real life too? What if somebody that worked in monster creation for movies before everything started being computer animated decided to stir up some fun by creating a latex creature and tossing it onto a beach.
None of these things have been tested or seen by any officials to see if it is an actual flesh and blood formerly living creature.
If it is real and the people that found it are hiding it seeking money, they’re scum. If it is real it needs to be properly preserved and tested to discover the truth. Most likely though, there is no dead monster hiding in someone’s ice chest…

Its A Boar, I Study Pigs And Boars And That’s A Type Of Boar, My Friend Told Me The Name Yesterday But I’ve Forgotten It Now, He Showed Me A Picture Of A Living One As Well, And How Strange That They Have At Least One Animal Of Each Family Group At The Testing Site At Plum Island, Meaning There’s A Large Chance They Have These Type Of Boar Up There, As More Than One Have Appeared On The Beaches.

by the way Meiko the other pic has a lot of different features its not the same look at the nose of the other pic it has the nostril holes of a dog or pig plus it doesn’t narrow on the sides. also doesn’t look newborn it looks dead total different color of skin. don’t associate the two when all’s you do is take a glance take a long hard look. also the only creature it resembles in Greek mythology is a griffin but even then new born bird talons still show.i see no talons by the way for those about to argue the talons on a griffin are apart of the front legs. but in this pic you don’t even see thin weak talons you see deteriorated looking flippers seriously look it up. i am telling you its something that wanted too adjust but could not. and for the last time it looks newborn you cant cg newborn skin its too random with color and if claim you can then prove it i don’t want too hear a loud mouth who thinks hes/she is telling me off of how wrong i am. once again for the last time it is a beak if it was a dog or raccoon it would show huge nostril cavity’s. which as it show it has a definite bird type nostril look up everything if you don’t believe. look up skeletal structures of the animals i mention it seriously uncanny. one thing though i had too bury more then one of my newborn cats and the skin is pink like a newborn but also has some dead skin like a newborn kitten that had died thus the purple pigment. i thought about what i said and the skin was sadly more familiar to a dead kitten i remember burying in my back yard. i also say this cause its like a Rex cat its hairless. I’m not obsessed with cats but i do remember that very vividly its sad but true, whatever this thing is its newborn

OMFG its not a mammal it has no canines its teeth aren’t perfectly even but they seem to be pretty even with no particular traces of specific tooth difference no thinner or thicker but some body said its not equipped for the sea it may not be but its front legs seem to be similar to a deteriorated fish fin also it seems to be mammal like cause its skin it looks like a min brand newborn cat or dog unable to adjust to its surroundings i think its the first of evolution born mammals obviously born with in water sand clings as if there was moisture in the spot that the sand resides plus that’s not a dog nose its a beak. if it was decayed that’s pretty far back not to notice some nostril holes also look closely it has nostril holes like an eagle its hind legs look like a dogs but nothing else suggest dog or raccoon. i find it peculiar that even if its front legs looked like a dogs look were the joints are placed too high for a dog maybe not a raccoon. but raccoons don’t have beaks and that’s definitely beak but it really does not look cg. but I’ve seen dogs and cats born and that skin looks almost exactly like a 1 sec old new born without fluids of course. i mean look at it its skin is shiny in a very transparent way unable to see through but its thin skin. it also has a tail i have no comments but it does look as if it struggled to survive. I’ve had a few dogs unfortunately i had to bury a few and they don’t look like they expected it the looks are sad but undetermined. this animal looks like it struggled and before it died it was exhausted i know its hard to tell with a new born. but it definitely was trying to survive. i may not be an animal expert but i love animals and am fascinated with mythical creatures. so i take in the fact that i like to observe and compare. i really hate those people who state their opinions online when there a click away from being able to compare through research ONLINE. though i have seen 3 cats and one dog give birth my first cat was walking around the house literally dropping kittens everywhere around my house. later i still found kittens hidden like a stash of her most valuable possessions like a week later.anyway that’s just my observing opinion.

i’ve seen alot of messed up things in my time.
    but this is strange.
i work with photoshop everyday- something to that scale, with texture and that much detail with the fingers and teeth… it’s not possible.
I mean you can edit blemeshes bla bla bla on photoshop but that my dear.. no.
Somehow, i think this is real. not to follow people like a sheep and be like OMG WOW.
But just because there is no HUMAN record of it on earth doesnt mean it didnt exist be4 us.
Ive read alot about it and scientists have been saying its just a photoshop hoax, it’s kids with creative minds and latex. I studied art in Alevel. Ive worked with latex- Yes- latex can imitate the skin- but not to that degree. It’s a medioka medium tbh. erugh sorry for my spelling.
Sad thing is, i think this could be a mix between a couple of animals- maybe thats why no one knows what it is. everyone’s stating theres this plum island facility next to where it was found which if i am correct is an ANIMAL testing facility. Surely, if this is run by members of authoritive figures of government memebers – surely- is there a possibility that they could have made this thing.. by mistake?

My real question out there is-

    Where is it now?

Yes people have recorded it, taken pictures with it, woteva. But why all of a sudden when they are asked where it is now, everyone goes silent? ALSO WHERE DID THE OTHER ONE GO? If you hadn’t realised there are 2 of these monsters. Both pictures are on the offical website. The first one was brushed off by the media of FOX and CNN. BOTH PICTURES ARE SIMILAR EXCEPT EXHIBIT A IS A SMALLER VERSION WITH A LONGER FACE AND POINTIER TEETH. i think it may be female?

Also- why has no one looked up greek mythology?

    dont mind my english pleas.
it seems more of the people say its a raccoon or Procyon Lotor.
or Carnivora(predetor) and looking at the teeth i would say its a predetor.
now for the legs. a raccoon has smal legs in front and longer legs in the back.
the legs of montauk monster apear to be almost the same length.
not that i conclude it is not a raccoon im just saying that it is not the biggest posibility
(sorry for anny mis spelled words.
please email me on this subject if you have any further information that could help me a bit further with my infestigation.

And, as you no doubt no, an older man allegedly picked up the creature and strode away to an unk. destination. Only the photo’s from bystanders exists. Would you pickup that gnarly critter? I wouldn’t…

    That Is Actually Really Scary.
For A Second, Its Butt Region Looks A Bit Like A Bag Of Meat.
It Has A Head Of Some Sort Of Bird Thing, Its Shiny Like A Fish, Seal, Or Personal Thought: Seaweed, It Has… A TAIL…. And Its.. Um. “Hands And Feet” Are Actually REALLY TERRIFYING.
    Yeah, I Think I’ve Spelt That Wrong…
What Would You Do To It?
I’d Poke It, To Be Honest.

  25. April 1, 2009 at 10:56

i think it might be photo shop because there is no evidence that this creature even existed besides that photo. if it was decmposed it would show, i think it might have been a diseased lap dog or something. possibly lupis. i have seen dogs with lupis, it erodes away the nose and sometimes jaw. might be that might be something else, who knows.

Well, Tom several others have said that. Missing is something to judge the scale of the creature. It looks big as is but it well could be only a foot or so long. The mystery of where the creature went is a bit disconcerting. Never a clean discovery, assessment and finding.

  29. August 17, 2008 at 18:22

I think that it is a racoon. If you took all the hair off of a racoon its claws and other features match perfectly. The weird beak on the face would make sense if the flesh on the front of the skull had already begun to deteriorate. That’s my 2 cents anyway!

It is, if legitimate, worthy of what I thought science was when I was a kid. Some deliberative group that made determinations based upon known quantities. Of course, as you get older, you realize there is way more unknown quantities, hence theories, and ‘maybe’s’ ‘might be’s’ and worst of all ‘could’s’. All these qualifiers leave room for rash decisions based upon agenda driven hysteria or profits. Is there really any serious study anymore or only this is the end point, I or we desire and these are the could’s and might’s I am going to use to get there. If the Montauk Sea Creature is real, I hope it is an interesting discovery, reminding us that there is much yet to learn on land, the sea and perhaps space.

The photo, provided it has not been CG, offers another example of a life form that deifies classification. there are still “things” in the seas that have been around for untolded eons. Science as known today, have uncovered (or covered) many remnants of unusual entities that relate to no known life form. There was a time when primordial civilizations prevailed — when the entities of myth and legend had their basis in truth. Also, there is the possibility the process of evolution has taken another step creating new species that may or may not survive, hense, the dead remains. Only when science stops igoring evidence that does not fit their perception of reality will we have serious study and explaination of the “unknown”.

This ‘monster’ is no more than a mere dog, decomposed and furless due to the harsh ocean waters it was left in. Notice how the flesh around the ‘beak’ is raised. Also note the canine teeth in the front of the mouth. I do believe there are many creatures left to be dicovered beneath the waters of our oceans, but this is not one of them.

a mere dog huh? with pig feet, and a beak? I believe it was an escapee from plum island or of course a fake… but whatever its def. not a dog
