Fly Tying: Extended Body w/ Trimmed Feather (European Fly Angler)

Leeska @ European Fly Angler (www.euroflyangler.com)

This, to me, is a very interesting use of the feather. The barbs have been trimmed up the sides and you can see the two remaining longer barbs for the tail. This fly is a bead head. I wonder how this pattern would fish in the film, without the bead. Either way, a very innovative vision here. The Euro Fly Angler has several nice patterns and excellent photography to assist you in assessing the correct way to tie the patterns.
