Peacock Feather Tattoo: Hannah Grace Metler’s

Hannah was perusing the other peacock tat pics at SwittersB and said “well check this out!” Nice tat, pretty back. Perhaps Hannah will re-comment on who did the work and where.Tattoo’s of feathers are quite popular now, especially of peacock feathers. Thank you Hannah for sharing.

Hannah responded: “It was done by Zera Anderson in Ypsilanti, MI” (Ink For Life Studio on Huron St.)

How much would something like this be?

Well Lili I can only offer my own personal knowledge of mine and those around me that it averages around $150-170 per hour. That particular tat appears to have a lot of dark ink work there so I would imagine at least 2-3 hours of labor there in a sometimes painful spot. Maybe $300-450. With Peacock herl you will often see the herl not really narrow and filled in with the degree of detail that Hannah’s has. That is amazing detail and it takes time to make it look that real.

This is an extraordinarily done tattoo, I honestly thought it was a real peacock feather at first. I’m truely amazed at the quality and talent.

C. S. Lewis on Do Gooder Tyranny

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
