If you mean by class, a beginning fly tying class…this (tube flies) is a more specific part of fly tying. I doubt they will touch upon tying on tubes in a beginning tying class. Tubes are predominantly confined to patterns for Steelhead and Atlantic Salmon/Salmon. You may well tie a Steelhead pattern of the more traditional variety though. If later your tying becomes more species specific, say Steelhead, you may venture into tube flies. Best wishes in your class.
