Thanks, one key issue we have managed to use in summer is to fish the bank with the wind coming off it. The cooler water will upwell on that bank as the wind blows the warmer surface levels away. This can produce a dramtic difference in success rates..

Ah yes, very good point. This April, I fished a large lake and although I did not do well, bank anglers did well with the wind in their faces and fishing no more than 20′ feet out.
