Headstone Maintenance

I came across this damaged headstone awhile back. Many of the headstones were 150+ plus years old. Here are a few sites on maintaining headstones: Gravestone Studies & The Camera in the Cemetery.

There is something about cemeteries that is fascinating. Old cemeteries, old explorers and pioneers. I like to explore them and piece together snippets of life and death. I always come away thinking my glimpses are so minimal in piecing together their life and passing. Nonetheless, I enjoy the visits.

    Even headstones should also be given attention. It’s part of the history and it would be great if these headstones can be preserved. I’m glad that there are someone who maintains the part of our history.
