Silver Cholla SB

One of the things most apparent in my recent trip to the Joshua Tree National Park was the spacing of vegetation in that harsh environment. Nature’s way of survival, the cacti and shrubs were spread out to allow each species a chance at survival.

Also, apparent was the destruction of one plant, particularly large Joshua Trees snapped over and snugged up against them a new plant, a Silver Cholla (above photo), as if seeking shelter or sustenance.
