A nice enough image I took last week in Seattle. Usually, an image brings with it its own impressions and stands alone to influence our mental assessments. Usually, I bring to the process of seeing an image my own mental baggage of the moment. Life can be a heavy shroud that one carries and often the image captured is a pleasant diversion to an otherwise not so pleasant life or state of mind.
In this image, in this moment, let me add details that perhaps enhance the image. The air was fresh, and the sounds were only of birds chirping. The neighborhood seemed so calm. The temperature was almost neutral…neither too hot nor too cool. A slight breeze rustled the leaves. All was right with the world in that moment. So, looking upward was, in truth, already very uplifting and the image begged to be captured.
