Vintage Image: Sassy Girl on the Farm

Tillie Car SwittersB

My dear Aunt Tillie passed away at the age of 95. She left me this old photo from the 1930’s. She is sitting, all sassy, in a family car. What she confided to me was that at 5′ she had to sit atop several pillows to sit in the car. Otherwise, she would not have been able to peer out the window.

Tillie peeking over dash

Here, at 94 yrs. old, she peeked up over the dash as I drove her to the doctor. She was happy to be out and about.

oh how wonderful! I love family memories… Aunt Tillie is beautiful at both ages, and I am laughing at the pillow story. My Grandma was 104 when she died and feisty too! not healthy though…
