The mighty Columbia River (Oregon) very low, below Bonneville Dam, on a very windy, January day. Holding steady in the wind was a buffeted experience. The winds have been blowing down the Gorge the last few days in the 50 to 100+ mph range. Low snow pack this year does not bode well for hydropower, irrigation, recreation and fish runs.
