It is…smaller too than I normally would ever tie. Went with smaller size this year to see if more successful. In the past I used them much bigger, heavily weighted, and did ok but not like I thought they would be. A smaller version of the Vladi Worm, but no condom.
condoms don’t last long… 😆
you should do well with the smaller sizes. i often use san-juan type wormies in size 16-18
lets us know these great flies work !

These are great and your eyesight is a lot better than mine, what are they, size 18’s. The one with what looks like hares ear and gold body looks like a fish killer to me. I do like to use Goldheads towards the end of the season here, not really tried them at the beginning, I’ll give it a shot. (John Bibio55 I’d rather not be anonymous)
Hi John…Yes, 16/18’s. I really can’t tie much smaller than 18’s and prefer the larger patterns for lakes anyway. Again, congratulations on your first outing.
They look like trout getters! On the red one what did you use for the body? I need to get some of that.
Great job, I like to create non standard flies, mix up colors and sizing.
The ‘worm’ body rear/front is flourescent vinyl rib gimp like material…different names…the center has flouro red thread built up beneath the same body overlapping body material.
that worm is super-yum !

I’m still sticking to steelhead flies–big ol 2/0. This is incredible.
