This deer had been grazing, moving along oblivious to me in these surroundings. Suddenly the deer sensed my presence. A good minute passed with the deer frozen in this stance. I took my photos. Finally, the head raised and the deer bolted off over the rise behind. A form of snap & release from a distance perhaps.

Yes…I was just wind drifting along on a pontoon boat next to shore and not really creating a ruckus. I saw him early on so got camera up and was still.

Its a beautiful shot . Its funny some times they just come right up to you with no fear well maybe some I guess .
