Cut Ash

But ash new or ash old,
Is fit for a queen with crown of gold
But ash green or ash brown
Is fit for a queen with golden crown
But ash wet or ash dry
a king shall warm his slippers by.

Celia Congreve, The Firewood Poem, 1930

Wheels Turning….

“There’s nothing worse than taking something into your head: it turns into a revolving wheel that you can’t control” Ugo Betti

Ruminations, on and on, be damned. You consume my mind, my life. How to escape, how to turn toward something, someone that takes these harsh, spinning wheels from my mind?  Peace be with you. Blessed peace of mind. Take my hand, be still. For now be still.
