“O, how much more doth beauty beauteous seem
By that sweet ornament which truth doth give!
The rose looks fair, but fairer we it deem
For that sweet odour which doth in it live.”

Yes, and it is a pity we have removed the scent from so many roses. 😦

I have clusters that are concentrated. I spent the better part of Spring/early Summer creating beds from hard packed clay and tending to transplanted roses, fuchsias and clematis so they would survive. I have lots left to do, but much of it might happen next Spring. But, I got nice results for the lovely roses. I transplanted several dozen roses and they all offer their own unique beauty.
