Anthropomorphism: The shivering rose

I do this often. I attach some human response to plants, animals, rocks, trees. I am sure there is some psychobabble ID for such as me. For example: the rose is cold and shivering from the cold Fall rain, when in fact the rain is no doubt energizing and warming the rose…did I just do it twice more? Oh well. It is some quirk of mine that transfers my emotions outward, in the moment. Usually it allows me to be somewhat more in tune with the natural world around me. If I removed this tendency, I am sure I would be more precise, cold and clinical. But what fun is that? As long as I stay in the garden, woods, wilderness I am harmless.  Could it be those new meds? Do plants feel?

Reblogged this on NR Wishart Healing and commented:
Through my many personal experiences, and later, performing workshop experimental exercises, not only have I concluded that plants feel, they can also communicate back to us. This is just a tiny fragment of the true awesomeness of the consciousness of a plant 🙂

    Stunning photograph!
