These three images show the tide out on a flat at Christmas Island in the South Pacific. As the tide would come in the bonefish, trevally, sharks and other hungry fish would push up onto the flat, in the rising waters looking for food. What appears to be high and dry sand, would soon be under one to two feet of water with the shadows of marauding fish visible on the bottom…casting to shadows…to ghosts.

Really nice to see some blue skies. Here in the UK it’s terribly grey.

Oh I know…here in Portland it is sunny and chilly but usually it is grey for months on end and closes in terribly long about February…then it is time to travel toward warmth and sunshine!!!
