German Shepherd Rescued…

Rescued!!!

A German shepherd, Vash, was left at a Baldwin Park (Calif.) Animal Shelter in early June. His dejection, his profound distress, are observable in his eyes. The clock is sadly ticking away on Vash’s life. I am not posting this as gratuitous, emotional tweaking. Perhaps one of you, in the LA area, knows someone who could save the pup. Animal Shelter (626) 962-3577. Sadly sobering.

Update 7/23/2015 from the very kind LBal: “Vash was adopted by Jack K. from Palm Springs… he saw the ad… and drove down to Baldwin Park on a whim and took him home… with the idea to find a good home for him…. he is so wonderful though that he found his home right here…. happy dog!”

Yes, it appears so Mallee. I lined out the original narrative when another WP soul, Holly, contacted the facility and they advised that someone was indeed adopting the pup. There were many enquiries…a wonderful response. So hopefully a good outcome.

I called and found out they had a bunch of calls on Vash and that someone has adopted him which is great news.

Huhhhhhh, we’re ready for a dog. I want a German Shepard. I am calling the shelter Gary to find out more about him. I wonder where in LA…..will find out.

We chose our collie/labrador cross in about 1989 when the RSPCA refuge told us that otherwise that would be her last week.

C. S. Lewis on Do Gooder Tyranny

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
