“All the statistics in the world can’t measure the warmth of a smile.” Chris Hart
Yes, a small part (usually) of me charts stats on a larger scale, like above. I gauge the pleasing/success factor of a post by the incoming likes. When, sometime this Summer, I creep past 4,000,000 views, I will be satisfied, but it will be transitory as was 1 mil or 3 mil. What lingers, everyday, is the wisdom, joy, love, kinship and passion you all share. That’s how it is meant to be. That is why you share your efforts, to have an impact to other’s minds, hearts, emotions. Oh, the 17K post was regard the Montauk Sea Monster episode. I wrote it as a fun piece and for a day it was one of the few posts re the creature that washed up on the coast.
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be
satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
