Brooding branches waiting…

‘The tall Oak, towering to the skies,
The fury of the wind defies,
From age to age, in virtue strong.
Inured to stand, and suffer wrong.’

dang it!! I should have read your post for that Oak quote, here I just used a picture of an oak in my post yesterday. Don’t you just LOVE the tree? Always looking like it’s had such a hard arthritic life, un-like say a willow, but BECAUSE of their past pains and crooked limbs and knots, they remain the most beautiful and interesting to look at. thanks the pictures of the brooding branches!!! have a great week my friend. momentummikey 🙂

Sic Semper Tyrannis

There’s No Accounting For Taste; Search the Blog for Much More. Thanks for Visiting!

C. S. Lewis on Do Gooder Tyranny

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
