there is a woman north of here who spins some absolutely gorgeous yarns from her alpacas and goats

I bought a lifetime supply of killer bugs and “hare’s ears”
this is so much simpler than dubbing

It is an amazing material. I wasn’t able to get any for tying. I noticed when you hold a ball of the hairs in your palm you almost instantly feel warmth reflected back…magical!!! The spinning of the yarn was amazing to watch.

C. S. Lewis on Do Gooder Tyranny

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
