A lovely lavender rose, I planted in honor of my departed Mother. It didn’t do so well the first couple years, but this Summer it has finally settled in and shown its beauty.

Cricket on a Rose….
This visitor, a Great Green Bush Cricket, on a rose in the front yard was patient as I maneuvered the lens within its long antennae range. Going hand held and a breeze eliminated all but a few images.
