Animals, Climate Change & Something Askew?

The mantra re climate change seems to touch every aspect of our lives anymore….an intrusive mantra like a religion that I wonder at times is askew of realities and morphing into something with misguided outcomes for all beyond polar bears and big cats….read this at a site dedicated to natural beauty and I am sure good intentions and tell me if I am seriously that out of touch:

cats climate change

“The recent killings by a leopard in Western Nepal are unfortunate and tragic. The local police chief believes that a single leopard is responsible for killing and eating at least 15 victims over the span of 15 months. All of the victims have been children and young adults, with the exception of one adult woman. The most recent victim was a four-year-old boy whose head was found near his own home. Local administration has decided to authorize the killing of the animal.

Although there have been a lot of victims, murdering the animal is horrifying, especially when there are other options available. First off, children and young adults should not be able to venture into the forests alone. Second, the leopard can be captured and transported to another are or a zoo where it can continue to live.”

Great Cats of the “World”

I know this flies in the face of current dogma and the repetitive message that saturates the media messages of the day, but perhaps it’s my Western U.S. roots and predators howling in my back yard at night. Askew, and no amount of talk about population density, climate change or encroachment on habitat is changing my opinion about disproportionate weight given to animals…be they majestic/noble or not, over mankind. Tranquilizers and relocations is a nice option until they have tasted human flesh….

An aside story but similar…a friend, a cop, headed to a call…young girl barricaded into bathroom alone on the phone to 911….intruder inside…grandma somewhere in house…cop arrives…grandma inside front door throat slit…girl upstairs in bathroom on phone to 911 screaming someone is trying to force in bathroom door….cop goes upstairs…man with knife turns and comes at him…the cop caps his ass….saves girl…grandma dead….citizens asked…”couldn’t you have done something different?”

I can imagine some of you will not have the gumption, clarity or mental courage to ‘like’ this…I understand. Who dares question the mantra…right?

Solar Flare & the Carrington Event

What would happen if another Carrington Event took place? Congress recently declined to spend $300 mil on a probable defense mechanism to the devastation that would take place. The consequences to such an event are estimated by scientist to last a year or more. Currently scientist are forecasting for such storms for the next ten years.

Think re your preparedness if such an event took place. Low probability/High Impact. It seems that this event may have a higher probability to occur than the often professed consequences of climate change? Either way, the inept government is not going to adequately handle these concerns so you might want to contemplate what if’s and how to’s if power were lost long term in your area.

A Fish in Hand is Worth Two in the Book

FISH BIOLOGY..Dry stuff

Personally, beyond identifying various fish species, I don’t care about the why’s of color beyond adaptation and camo. I simply marvel at their individual beauty. Good enough for me. My mind, anymore, glazes over with too much detail re fish, entomology, climate change, etc. I simply want the decompression and want to think less and less. For now anyway.

Climate Change & Drivel?

“Two months ago, James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming, gave a startling interview to msnbc.com in which he acknowledged he had been unduly “alarmist” about climate change. The implications were extraordinary. Lovelock is a world-renowned scientist and environmentalist whose Gaia theory — that the Earth operates as a single, living organism — has had a profound impact on the development of global warming theory.”  (X)

Climate Change (Man Made Influence?)

Man Controlling the Weather (Collier's Magazine, 1954; Smithsonian Mag)

“After the experiments of G.E.’s Research Laboratory, there was a feeling that humanity might finally be able to control one of the greatest variables of life on earth. And, as Cold War tensions heightened, weather control was seen by the United States as a potential weapon that could be even more devastating than nuclear warfare.

In August of 1953 the United States formed the President’s Advisory Committee on Weather Control. Its stated purpose was to determine the effectiveness of weather modification procedures and the extent to which the government should engage in such activities. Methods that were envisioned by both American and Soviet scientists—and openly discussed in the media during the mid-1950s—” (more)

Mammatus Clouds

Doesn’t this stuff just conjure up all manner of conspiratorial possibilities? I mean there it is, the explanation for all that has been happening. Can you imagine when the  ‘Chem Trail‘ conspiracists read this stuff what runs through their government infected minds?

Cooking The Books: BEST (Muller) & Curry Responds

“Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.”      Winston Churchill

I personally follow the Bjorn Lomborg concepts re climate change. Climate Change, or whatever they want to call it to suit their agenda, does exist. And, per Lomborg, how we address the issues is important as well. Watch Cool It ….no, actually watch it.

What I also follow is the adjustments to data and deceit amongst scientists to force outcomes that sustain their agenda. I imagine this goes both ways. But, given the intentions of some agendas, I believe we must demand answers from supposed scientific organizations that control how our nations and our resources are to be utilized.  Oh, I know, not a popular thing to bring up right now. Football, Winter steelheading, Bristol Bay feel good donations, OWS feel good associations. But, I believe it is what it is….some are cooking the books. The stakes are too high to tolerate this. Floggings are in order….. Useful idiots stand aside please. Watch for the counter propaganda on slaught to take place…obscure, distract.

Earthquakes and Jim Berkland

I listened to Jim Berkland this past week as he discussed the oddities of animal behavior, full moons and high tides. These were the primary indicators that caused Berkland to predict an earthquake of some magnitude this week, starting today. Today we witness (if we’re are so lucky) a mega moon of sorts, the largest in several decades. Coupled with this are unusual high tides. Somehow, Berkland ventures out onto a tectonic plate to suffer certain scoffing and the alliances with unsolicited whackadoodles that judge his predictions as some biblical forthcoming. Well, he is interesting to listen to, if nothing else.

Horse puckey? Whackadoodle mental meanderings? Intriguing stuff that must drive the climate change crowd a bit daffy as they can’t blame much of it on man. The hourglass is spilling………………………………
