this poor Clematis bloom has woefully suffered amidst the heat of Summer and predation. I, for one, am ready for a cool down!

one bright spot…
the garden’s change is constant & accelerated in this Summer’s heat. Fleeting beauty isn’t lingering for long this year. I long all Winter for these moments and this year the pace is faster. Visible changes within a day or two rather than loitering around for a week.
