Desolate but still beautiful…

apple-canyon-california-swittersb

I little canyon called Apple Canyon near Idyllwild, California. Normally to venture up such a place I would be looking for a stream or lake to fly fish. Not here. The rugged terrain was enhanced by the snags and clinging cloud.

Sic Semper Tyrannis

There’s No Accounting For Taste; Search the Blog for Much More. Thanks for Visiting!

C. S. Lewis on Do Gooder Tyranny

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
