Embracing a new day…

“Sunrise over the mountain-forest was gorgeous – Aurora brushing out her golden tresses with a comb of dark-needled pine and bare-limbed oak.”

Mundane Beauty

Some consider a photo taken of a sunset or sunrise cliche, overdone. To me, beyond there ever changing image, is something deeper, even primitive at times. Cliches are indeed over done because of their inherent beauty. Such beauty probably seems to mundane for the more earnest amongst us.

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher a storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” Rabindranath Tagore

Sic Semper Tyrannis

There’s No Accounting For Taste; Search the Blog for Much More. Thanks for Visiting!

C. S. Lewis on Do Gooder Tyranny

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
