leaning into history…

This old structure is East of Portland, Oregon near the town of The Dalles. The area is exposed to harsh winds and all the varieties of moisture the Pacific NW has to offer. Somehow the building still stands. We have been visiting this site for 35 years and little changes….a good thing.

I made an interesting discovery re Lone Pine Tree Village near The Dalles, Oregon. It involves, Wasco Indians, Shakers, religion, a church and a tolerant Henry Gulick….more to follow……
